100 Days of Learning!

Hip Hip Hooray! We've been here for 100 days!

Thank you to everyone for bringing along a piece of fruit. We had lots of fruit kebabs - some of the lunch boxes might come home a bit full today!!!

Just a reminder that Friday 4th is our 100 Days of Learning Celebration. Room 2 can wear whatever they like (PJs, costumes, favourite colours etc) Remember to bring your piece of fruit to add to the kebab pile as well.

Skip Counting

We have been working on using skip counting to solve problems. Today we used the teddies to hide in the caves (cups). We were discussing how many groups and how many teddies in each group. This is to help solve problems like - 3 groups of 2

Learning Interviews

Just a reminder to get your forms back by Monday for the learning interviews. If you haven't received a green notice like this, just email me or ring the office and we can sort it out. The meetings are a great chance to see what your child is able to do in their learning and what their next steps are.

Ocean Habitats

We have been very busy today building our ocean habitat. The classroom was the messiest it's been all year but learning can be messy!

If anyone has anymore shells that need a good home, feel free to send them along!

Ocean Habitat Plans..

Today we started planning what our ocean habitats will look like and the types of things that we need. Everyone has picked an animal and we'll be working on them over the next couple of weeks. We'll be getting real sand from the playground to put in for the ocean floor and maybe some stones. If anyone has any shells that need a good home, just send them along.

Ocean Habitats

We have started working on our ocean habitat dioramas. Room 2 will choose one of their animals they have written a report about to turn into a display.

Reading Nights!

More reading nights! Well done Room 2 - keep up the great reading :) Remember to get your child to come and tell me or remind me when they need their next certificate. The awards are for 25, 50, 75 and 100!

Assembly

A big thank you to everyone who was able to make it to assembly! Room 2 were very excited and a little nervous but everyone did such a good job hosting, sharing art work and reading reports on "TV".
